Secret art of survival exhibition: FEPOW Descendants’ weekend

In association with the Secret Art of Survival exhibition at Victoria Gallery & Museum (VG&M), we have organised a special FEPOW descendants’ weekend.

SATURDAY 16th November

VG&M: FEPOW galleries open to the public all day (no booking required).

PM –Drop-in sessions repeated throughout the day (timings to be confirmed)

SUNDAY 17th noon

Remembrance Service, Liverpool Parish Church (near the waterfront)

Book: No booking required. 

SUNDAY 17th Doors Open 18.30 for 7pm start

Special evening at Royal Liverpool Philharmonic (RLPO) Hall:

Welcome presentations and a special performance by RLPO’s Youth Choir who will sing an arrangement of Dvorak’s Largo, in memory of all Far East captives.

This music was created for, and first performed in Sumatra in 1943 by, the Palembang women’s Vocal Orchestra.

Feature film – Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, David Bowie as FEPOW Major Jack Celliers Tickets £8 - £12 per person (must be booked directly through RLPO, from May 2019) NB films at RLPO are very special.
